Welcome to the Website of Cound Cricket Club which was founded around 1880 and situated in the Village of Cound which is six miles south east of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The ground which must be one of the most picturesque in the whole of Shropshire has splendid views of the Wrekin and the rolling Shropshire countryside.

Through its structure Cound Cricket Club commits itself fully to the ECB's vision for Cricket. On the 15th October 2008 the Club achieved Sport England/ECB Clubmark accreditation. |

Cound Cricket Club are pleased to be part of the Cricket Foundation's Chance to Shine initiative. Chance to Shine is the single biggest school-sport development initiative ever undertaken in Britain. It recognises the power of competitive cricket to help young people acquire skills, values and attitudes. |

Cound who are an ECB Focus Club run two Saturday Teams, two Midweek Teams plus a thriving Junior Section.
Cound 1st XI play in Division One of the Shropshire Cricket League and the 2nd XI play in the Reserve Division One. New players are very welcome. Senior players please contact Matt Jones 07717 290743 and Junior players please contact Graham Trow 07939 434182.
